Meshuggah Announces New Immutable Album For April 2022 Release, Tease New Track

Meshuggah, the Swedish metal rock band, have announced that they are planning to release their ninth album Immutable. This will be the band’s first album since their 2016 album, The violent sleep of reason, which received excellent reviews from critics and fans.

According to strong thread, Immutable will be released on April 1 via Atomic Fire Records. Pre-orders for the album will be available on January 28. Ahead of the album’s release, Meshuggah also shared a teaser of Immutable which has a punchy bass that will surely energize fans and listeners alike.

Commenting on the title of the album, guitarist Mårten Hagström says: “The title fits perfectly with where we are as a band. We are older now. Most of us are in our 50s now, and we’ve settled into who we are. Even though we’ve been experimenting all along, I also think we’ve been the same since day one. The way we approach things and why we always make new albums, and why we always sound like we do, it’s immutable. Humanity too is immutable. We make the same mistakes over and over again. And we are immutable. We do what we do and we don’t change.

In December 2021, Meshuggah announced that their US tour had to be postponed due to a band member’s health issue involving the skin of his hands. The tour reportedly included punk rock band Converge, who had to abandon the tour due to their changes. While waiting for the album to arrive, fans can surely predict that the album will be amazing from the teaser.
