Largest rehearsal and music production studio in the United States to open in St. Louis area
The facility will provide more than 100 jobs in Chesterfield
The St. Louis Economic Development Partnership Chesterfield Business Incubator is delighted to welcome an incredible new neighbor to the region.
Officials with the state of missouri, County of Saint-Louis, the City of Chesterfield, Missouri Partnership, the Partnership for the Economic Development of Saint-Louis, Ameren Missouri, Grand Saint-Louis Inc., and Gateway studios and production services (GSPS) today announced the planned construction of the largest entertainment production facility and such rehearsal facility in the United States. Gateway Studios’ $ 111 million development will include a 330,000 square foot complex, employing over 100 highly skilled musicians. and filmmaking and production professionals, and witness the making, building, testing and launching of musical acts and films on a world tour. The campus, located at 900 Spirit of St. Louis Boulevard, is expected to be fully operational in the first quarter of 2023.

These 100 new jobs in music and film will help expand the skills of our workforce as we continue our efforts to prepare Missourians for the jobs of tomorrow. “
Gateway Studios & Production Services plans to offer turnkey multi-studio manufacturing and production service solutions for the live music touring, film / television and corporate events industries. The new Gateway Studios campus will be built at the western end of the Chesterfield Valley, adjacent to Spirit of St. Louis Airport and Interstate 64, providing easy, convenient and private access for clients using the facilities.

We have an amazing management team with over 100 years of experience producing live tours. GSPS offers audio, lighting, video production and live event management services. This is a facility that could only have been built from scratch, designed and planned by industry professionals, so complete it is without compromise.
Gateway Studios & Production Services will consist of four separate state-of-the-art studios, which will host the development and manufacture of stadium and arena tours, film / television productions and unique corporate events. . GSPS’s Chesterfield campus offers an unparalleled uncompromising creative environment. Complete, it will include offices, conference and dressing rooms, on-site catering, sound stages, green screen studios, live streaming and a full range of audio manufacturing and production services, lighting and video. Its central, strategic US location in Chesterfield, Missouri, allows customers convenient logistical access to build and create their productions at the Crossroads of America before moving across the United States. Missouri competed with Georgia and Tennessee for the project.

GSPS expects to initially generate over 100 full-time jobs to support the family. The campus will also include a new hotel, creating more jobs and economic benefits for the region. Plans to provide in-depth training and education opportunities will create a strong talent pool for this new Missouri industry.

In addition to Trey Kerr, Gateway’s executive leadership team includes music industry live tour production veterans Andy Gerber, Jesse Sandler and David Haskell. The GSPS team has worked with some of the biggest names in the music entertainment industry during their careers including Bon Jovi, Phish, Kenny Chesney, Maroon 5, Drake, Jimmy Buffett, The Eagles, Aerosmith, John Mellencamp, Nickelback, Alabama, Prince, Florida Georgia Line and Sugarland.
“Gateway Studios is a state-of-the-art facility that will set a new bar for live entertainment rehearsal and production needs,” said Jesse Sandler, production manager for Phish, Inc. “It was designed by from tour professionals, to professional tours and it shows in every detail. Sandler is also the president of Gateway’s studio operations.
While its new campus is under construction, Gateway’s production services division is online at the moment and currently offers booking clients a full range of production services, including audio, lighting, video and streaming, as live events and tours resume this year.
