Five music stars set to perform at Super Bowl LVI halftime show
CNN – A group of music pioneers are set to headline Super Bowl halftime show LVI in February.
Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar will headline the show, which is scheduled to air Sunday, February 13, Pepsi, the NFL and Roc Nation announced Thursday.
This will be the first time that five musical artists will perform together on stage for the show, as reported by CNN.
“The opportunity to play the Super Bowl Halftime Show, and to do it in my own backyard, will be one of the biggest thrills of my career, âDr. Dre said in a statement.
“I am grateful to JAY-Z, Roc Nation, the NFL and Pepsi as well as Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar for joining me in what will be an unforgettable cultural moment.”
Pepsi VP of Marketing Todd Kaplan said: âArtists like Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg were at the forefront of the West Coast hip hop revolution, so be able to bring them back to LA, where it all started alongside Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar. will prove to be an epic and unforgettable celebration of the impact of hip hop today.
The Super Bowl is scheduled to take place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The game will air on NBC and Telemundo and stream live on Peacock, CNN reported.
