Eels announce postponement of Lockdown Hurricane 2022 tour dates due to Covid-19 concerns

For fans of rock band Eels, there is bad news regarding their 2022-now 2023-Lockdown Hurricane tour. The tour has been postponed due to the travel status imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic and local restrictions. Their main tour dates have been rescheduled to Spring 2023. The announcement was made via their Instagram.

The band began their announcement by saying, “We’re sure you’re tired of seeing announcements like this. When we planned our 2022 tour 7 months ago, we hoped that we would be in a more ideal place to do it now. Like the eels, everyone also thought the world would be in a better place now. Unfortunately, the pandemic remains a persistent problem.

In October 2021, the announced rock band that they would begin their Lockdown Hurricane tour in the spring of 2022. The first show was scheduled to take place on March 11 in Belfast, then continue to London, Zurich, Switzerland and Spain. The group will then travel across North America beginning May 8 in San Diego, California, then Los Angeles, Portland, Chicago, Minneapolis, New York and Philadelphia before concluding May 28 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Even with the bad news, the band said the cities and locations remain the same, with the exception of the Boulder, CO show, which will be refunded and moved to the Denver Gothic Theater. The band also mentioned that venues in Vienna and Milan have changed but tickets will be honored and a new show in Nimes, France has been added!
